Sanskrit,At last!

I have been wanting to do this in a long time....A fitting tribute to my favorite, the mother of all languages, the oldest......"Sanskrit".

This page contains an Indic script. Without sufficient text support you may see irregular vowel placements and no conjuncts. See this Wikipedia entry for info on enablin unicode/Indic support in various systems.
This blog is written in Sanskrit Unicode. Please ensure that your OS and browser supports Unicode. Windows XP and above (with support for right-to-left scripts) displays these properly.Another software that you would love to have, with which I have written all these posts is ITRANSLATOR 2003. The Sanskrit 2003 font that comes along with this is just awesome for displaying Sanskrit.

Readers,
This has been my desire - to blog in Sanskrit and I just discovered the perfect unicode enabled Indic script text editor software. Kindly echooos the mathras - I am just learning to use i-translator and my posts will be better once I master its nuances!

Just one more shloka that i can remember right now before I finish:

"प्रारभ्य च उत्तमजनाः न परित्यजन्ति
प्रारभ्यते न खलु विघ्नभयेन नीचैः

प्रारभ्य च विघ्नविहताः विरमन्ति मध्याः।

विघ्नैः पुनः पुनरपि प्रतिहन्यमानाः

प्रारभ्य च उत्तमजनाः न परित्यजन्ति॥"

It feels great to see that I can actually remember this ...Its been ages since I read it, considering the fact that I cant rermember what I studied last week.!!!! I just love getting to write in Sanskrit again...even tho i would prefer pen n paper!!!!!!

  1. Some effort, I must say!
How'd you manage to type all this on an english keyboard?? Cut'n'paste maybe? ;-)
But alas! I don't follow sanskrit, and I'm afraid I may never discover the nuances of your verses!

  3. Is n't it "yevam avuvaachath bhargavi?" instead of "atha uvaacha Bhargavi".
Of course I'm not good at sanskrit.

  6. Out of Context-

Did not know whether Rudyard Kipling's IF is posted in Melancholetta. So thought of letting you know. If it has been, then delete the comment. BTW, I'm Kishore's school mate!
