I`m Lost

I`m lost,
in his deep brown eyes,
in the depth of his loving words,
in the warmth of his hugs,
I`m lost,
not as much as I would be,
without his love!
I`M LOST.....
I wish in the above said ways,
I`m lost, ALAS!
but on the roads,
if only I knew the proper routes to take,
to reach home on time!

Hehehe..
can feel couple of horns and a pointed tail sprout...feeling absolutely wicked today!

from a railway carriage...

I am not such a literature freak. yet I relate some of the things in life to the few poems i have read and to the very few that i actually remember.

I love looking out of bus,car and train windows out into the roads. It dosent matter if the scene outside is beautiful or not. It is a fixation with me. Four years of travelling by bus to college by the same route did not deter me from looking out into the same monotonous roads!
as with a lot of other routes that I have probably travelled a bazillion times...I just do it.dont know what fascination I have for it....

today as I was travelling by bus and looking outside at the boring familiar I-75, I recalled this poem "from a railway carriage" by RLS. I havent probably read this poem after my 8th std but for some strange reason, it was the first thing that struck my mind.

Another poem that I relate to very often is titled " It was long ago" by elanor farjeon. This is also a poem i read very long ago and dint remember even the title. I only remembered the end which goes like " then i grew up, you see". I googled it and struck gold. I found the entire poem and also the story behind it.

A powerful line for a very beautiful poem....
may be i should resume my poetry writing....

I dont need any photographs to bring back memories. they are etched in memory....the people, the places, the fun I had.....
Trips before 1999...I really dont remember them well enough to post now...though i know i had great fun in my 10th Std excursion to Hyd and 8th Std road trip to a lot of places including Hogenakal...
The perspective of the entire point of going to a place keeps changing. When you are very young, it is the sheer excitement of going out away from home. when you are a bit older, it is the point of seeing new things, learning new things. When you are even older, at a stage when friends mean everything to you, it is just the fun factor involved in it. just going out with them even if you have already been to the place a umpteen number of times!
well, in my case, many of these places, the visits have been for things like technical presentations. but they were great fun, again because of friends..........
I would give anything right now to go back on any one of those trips........just to feel how good life was then!
A very funny thing,this nostalgia.
